When you have that ongoing, lingering sadness, feelings of emptiness, lack of interest in things you used to love or ongoing lack of motivation that impact your daily living, it is possible that you are experiencing some form of depression. When you have those persistent overwhelming worries about things you have no control over, you may have some form of anxiety. By doing a full assessment using specific tools, I am able to diagnose which of the two you are struggling with or if you are struggling with both. Treatment can start once the diagnosis has been made.
Like Bessel said in his book, our bodies keep score. When we experience traumatic events in our lives, we may develop long term lingering symptoms such as hopelessness, anxiety, inability to relax or sleep, constantly feeling fearful and many others. By using different modalities during our sessions, I am able to guide you through the process of grief and healing by providing you with tools or strengthen the tools you already to be able to better cope with the symptoms.
Relationships can be tough and we always hear that you constantly have to work at making them work. Therapy can be helpful for couples struggling with different issues in their marriage so they can have less conflict and better communication. In these sessions, I am a neutral person and listen to both sides. I use different modalities when working with couples and this is determined by the issues couples present with.
Every client is unique. There is no "one size fits all". My psychotherapy services are tailored to each individual’s needs and treatment goals. The consultation session is followed by an initial assessment session where I get to learn more about your therapy goal. I then use an integrated approach to determine what speed, how in-depth, and what style the sessions will take taking into consideration what each person is most comfortable with. Each person is able to discover opportunities for growth as soon as the first session. When it comes to couples and families, I use a systemic approach to focus not only on the individual but also on how the individual interacts with surrounding social, emotional, and environmental factors.
My goal in family therapy is to minimize conflict and improve relationships. I work with as many members of the family as possible to change patterns and improve communication skills. Every individual and every family has strengths and so I use a strength-based approach to find those positive assets a family already has in place and then I facilitate each family’s ability to work together to prioritize these strengths.
There are times when I start individual therapy with a youth but it turns into family therapy because the youth needs assistance with getting their parents to understand what they are experiencing in the home so that behaviors can change.
Issues we often address in family therapy include:
I also started doing immigration psychological evaluations to help keep families together.
My Immigration Psychological Evaluations are usually requested by immigration attorneys on behalf of their clients or by clients themselves on the advisement of their attorneys.
If you have a Violence Against Women Act Immigration Petition case
(VAWA); a Hardship immigration petition; a U-Visa petition or a need for a psychological evaluation related to immigration, please contact me for additional details.
My focus during couple’s therapy is on the relationship between the couples, as well as on how the couples interact with family members, colleagues, friends, and more.
I always seek out the best interests for the couples, whether that means working to keep the couples together or to separate amicably.
I also work with couples at any stage in their relationship, from preparing for marriage, becoming parents, or transitioning into retirement.
Issues I often address include:
I am only offering tele-therapy. You do not have to drive to an office to get the help you need. I am here for you wherever you are! This allows you to be in a place where you are more comfortable.

The name of my practice holds a deep personal meaning to me. It symbolizes the quiet strength that comes from within when we find balance amidst life’s challenges. Peace is not the absence of struggle, but the calmness we cultivate in our hearts when we face our difficulties with resilience.
I chose this name because I believe that true healing begins with inner peace—the kind of peace that helps us release fear, restore hope, and reconnect with ourselves and others.
